Rupesh is a Senior Managing Director with three decades of strategic operational advisory, corporate financial and business transformation experience with clients ranging from small startups to large multinational companies. Rupesh specializes in the providing strategic and tactical leadership to both growth and underperforming companies.
With Accordion, Rupesh has partnered with the management of private equity-backed companies to provide leadership, strategic options analysis, lead performance improvement initiatives, improve visibility and transparency with stakeholders and optimize value. Additionally, he has focused on the identification, implementation, and tracking of working capital improvement initiatives.
Before joining Accordion, Rupesh spent over a decade working in principal investing, corporate finance, and operational leadership and improvement. He served as an advisor to senior management in numerous turnaround situations and formal restructurings with a focus on value preservation, working capital improvement, liquidity and risk management, cash flow projections, business plan redevelopment, and investor collaboration.
Rupesh has worked in various interim finance roles to stabilize challenging situations by objectively assessing the current business state, aligning with management and sponsors on near term and longer-term objectives, improve visibility into short-term financial results, integrate acquisitions, and develop standardized reporting processes and communications with board members. He recently served as the interim CRO of a company after it successfully negotiated a foreclosure with its lender and as the Chief Financial Officer of E-mobility business which returned its investors 4x on its investment capital within 18 months.
His experience includes working with global companies with operations throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. He has experience in several industries, including energy and its related infrastructure, real estate, manufacturing, consumer goods and professional services.
Rupesh started his career in banking and further expanded his experiences to include wholesale commodity trading and operational excellence. His experience has been garnered at notable firms including CIBC World Markets, BNP Paribas, Sempra Energy Trading and FTI Consulting.
Rupesh graduated with honors from the Rutgers College with a B.S. in Finance and from Rutgers University – Graduate School of Management with a M.B.A. in Finance.
